     Virtual Scanning Technology “Strannik”

Introduction

By present due to expanding experimental and theoretical investigations (P. K. Anokhin, 1975, 1979; K. V. Sudakov, 1971; V. I. Vedvedev, 1982; N.N. Vasilevskiy, 1979),
it has been proved that rigid as well as flexible programmes of function adjustment provide adaptation mechanisms. N.N. Vasilevskiy (1984) emphasizes that adaptation mechanisms should be considered all-round controlling systems provided with rigid and flexible programmes as well as tracking systems which seem to elaborate initiating signals and withdraw from the memory an appropriate succession of controlling signals and programmes included in the flexible regulation component.

Numerous experimental data (P. D. Gorizontov, 1973; V. I. Vedvedev, 1982; I. A. Sapov, V. S. Novikov, 1984; N.N. Vasilevskiy, 1984) show that it is a disruption of the regulating role of the central nervous system and hormonal system that can cause a reduction of protective mechanisms and a pathology development.

Research carried out by N.H. Bekhtereva (1974, 1980) who posed recepts about a steady pathology state under brain-lesions, were very important for understanding neuro-pathological processes and features of their proceeding. Under these conditions there appears not only completion of affected structures but also formation of new intracentral relations to be fixed in a corresponding matrix of long-term memory which gives this new (pathological) process stability and resistance.

Basing on these ideas G. N. Kryzhanovskiy (1980, 1984) developed a concept of a pathological functional system (FS) as one of the most common mechanisms underlying numerous central nervous system pathology forms.

Unlike physiological FSs described in detail by P. K. Anokhin, the pathological functional system (PFS) is such a build-up of nervous formations, which activity result has a disadaptive sinificance. This distinction is expressed in an activity of the pathological FS that doesn’t correspond to neither a reacting stimulator nor situation changes, neither an incentive cause of a human or animal behaviour nor the organism needs.  Moreover, a result of the PFS activity may mean a direct pathogenic factor causing further development or initiation of the given or a new pathologic process. PFS as well as physiological FSs cause inhibition of other systems that have interfering relations with it. This effect has a significant pathogenetic importance, for it is connected with disintegration of the nervous system activity under pathology conditions and supression of indemnification and convalescence mechanisms.

Among physiological FSs a special place is taken by the general nonspecific inhibition and relaxation functional system of urgent adaptation and protection (IRFSUAP) of the organism against extreme influences of physical, hypoxial, pyrexial and other stresses which result in homeostasis infringements. The latter result in a distortion of oxygenium and carbon dioxide ratio in the organism.

The activity of the IRFSUAP is the following one. Against the background of hypoxia and homeostasis infringements there is an activization of relaxing processes, an excitability downstroke, a nervous process balance normalization and improvement of regulation functions of the central nervous system.On the periphery it results in an essential (sometimes up to 70 %) simultaneous increase of an arbitrary release phenomenon rate in all skeletal muscles. The IRFSUAP activization against the background of considerable physical stresses, for example, is accompanied by a psycho-emotional intensity cupping and a muscle hypertone, considerable improvement of movement regulation and coordination, rise of the effectiveness of the central nervous system, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, neoro-endocrine and other systems, improvement of muscular blood supply and muscular activity energy supply, speeding-up of reduction processes and resynthesis of energy resources, and finally leads to homeostasis normalization and an effect of extra rise of physical efficiency or the "second wind" effect" .

“Strannik” system

The “Strannik” system based of the original technology of the virtual scanning enables to exercise an effective overall diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of various functional disorders and diseases of any organs and systems at the expense of normalization of governing and regulating functions of the brain (I.G. Grakov and others, 2000).
It lacks weaknesses of the majority of methods used in medicine and physiology that are able to estimate the structure and functions of individual organs, tissues and systems, but do not give information on regulation aspects of the operation of the studied object and its interrelations with other organs and systems.

The virtual reality technology provides an opportunity to study all organization levels of the entire organism – from high regulation systems to metabolic processes on the cell level.

The basic methodological principle of the virtual scanning is the principle of adequacy of the reflection of the outer world and the inner environment by the brain functions.
Any signal entering the brain has its own characteristics (energy, frequency, spatio-temporal).
On the basis of the signal a certain image or matrix possessing corresponding  characteristics is formed. A set of matrixes makes up the so-called “body scheme” i.e. a biomathematical model of the organism. The brain brings the current body scheme into accord with the etalon one at the expense of its basic functions (perception, imagination, associative thinking, memory, motivation, decision-making and others) that promote homeostasis preservation and efficient operation of all the functional systems, organs and tissues. Under various unfavorable factors and extreme influences, esp. against the background of high excitability or weakness of the central nervous system inhibition, the so-called control errors, i.e. temporal or steady disorders in the operation of high regulation systems may arise. For instance, a consequence of such disorders in the system of movement regulation resulting in discoordination of antagonist muscle functioning, is movement injuries of athletes or ballet-dancers.

Under long-term influence of unfavourable factors the brain generates a distorted directive signal that fails to match the “body scheme”; as a result, a pathologic center that later develops into a disease is formed in some system, organ or tissue. In turn, under the influence of esodic signals from injury centers in corresponding brain zones pathological excitation centers emerge and a pathological functional system is formed.
Thus a vicious circle to turn an acute disease into a chronic one develops.

Longstanding scientific studies and practical results show that the virtual scanner
can reveal not only existing but also very early symptoms of control and regulation disorders in the brain functions, faults in operation of functional systems, organs and tissues, i.e. the scanner can perform a quick (20 - 30 minute) and precise diagnostics of pre-pathological conditions on the pre-clinical level when the human is unaware of the symptoms of any disease.

In the table below we cite the data of the Syktyvkar Medical Centre, Medico-Sanitary Unit of Moscow (N.P. Skvortsova and others, 1999), “Metallurg” Sanatorium (V.P. Yerkhov and others, 2001), the Orenburg oblast hospital and others to show the studies of estimating accuracy and efficiency of the diagnostics by the “Strannik” system.
To estimate the correlation between the revealed pathology and clinical diagnostics laboratory, biochemical, cardiological, functional, radiological and supersonic studies were carried out.

On the grounds of the obtained data the authors conclude that the “Strannik” system is more informative and sensitive for discovering diseases, esp. pre-pathological conditions than the current clinical diagnosis methods. In this case hyper-diagnostics or excessive diagnostics might be meant. Moreover these conclusions are verified by the data obtained by other researchers who give a great number of examples when clinical methods confirmed the diagnosis first set by “Strannik” in several weeks or months.

It means that the virtual scanner does diagnose pre-pathological conditions and diseases on the earliest pre-clinical stage when there are some minor disorders of control and regulation functions undetectable by current clinical methods.

The system of correction of functional disorders and treatment of various diseases by “Strannik” is based on fundamentally new approaches. The main methodological principle of the virtual scanning, as it has been mentioned, is based on the principle of adequacy of the reflection of the outer world and the inner environment by the brain functions.
The brain makes up two groups of matrixes or images: the images to describe and specify the outer world,i.e. the outward things  and the images of the inner world, i.e. of the human organism itself. The interaction between these two groups of matrixes is provided by the brain functions that are able to detect the relations between the matrixes and find out the ones that coincide in their characteristics most to meet the requirements of the situation.

Diagnostic

During the diagnosing the “Strannik” comples analyses the results of the test the patient does on the computer simulator. The test is the following one. For a few seconds the CRT screen shows the patient a coloured image (or picture) to memorize.
Then the colour spectrum breaks and the patients has to reconstruct it. Usually the patient is presented 3 to 5 images. The rate and quality of the image reproduction help to estimate main functions of the brain and build up a biomathematical model of the patient that is identical to the body scheme drawn by the brain.

On the computer the virtual scanner reproduces sets of matrixes typical of the examined patient –this is what is called a personal biological modeling. The basis of the virtual technology is estimation, juxtaposition of matrixes (just the way the brain does) and translation of the obtained data into generally accepted medical terms.

Correction

In the process of medical treatment the virtual scanning technology enables to correct the signals and the brain functions respectively bringing them into the evolution norm.
The correction is made by means of a purposeful formation and screen presentation of individually determined colour sets in delta-rhythm range that appear in changing color gradations and entering the central nervous system through the optical analyzer.

Thus, by means of the virtual reality technology it is possible to reproduce the required characteristics of certain matrixes and the brain is able to adjust to these characteristics and restore its control functions.

As a result there appears a unique opportunity of natural, non-medicamentous influencing the original cause of pathological processes and medical treatment of diseases caused by disorders in functioning of the high regulation systems.

THE ORDER OF CONDUCTING A PROCESS OF DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT ON THE VIRTUAL SCANNER.

Practically the whole process of diagnostics and treatment is presented by the following stages:

1. Interviewing the patient, filling in a card

2. The patient works with the system of standarts.
For 15 seconds the patient has to remember them, after that the color palette of the picture changes, and will become available keys(colours),
by means of which it is necessary to return a color gamut of the picture as close to the original as possible.
These keys are situated as 2 horizontal  line  at the foot of the screen with the instruction to add or decrease colour.
After patient decides, that he or she has obtained a desired result, it is necessary to press the key "OK"
During the process of restoring the colours program reproduces a condition of functions of brain: perceptions, imaginations, assotiative thinking and memory.

3. Strictly building by the program personal biological model.

4. Evaluation of relations of received matrixes. Building of outputs about patient brain functions condition (perception, imagination, assotiative thinking, memory, decision making), determination of the dominating function.
Building of outputs about the condition of internal organs (from standpoints of relation between this organ and the cerebrum and other main organs;
Presence of pathological process and its features;
Presence of transitional conditions, preceding disease.
Building of outputs on the condition of organism, as a holistic system.

5. Showing the results on the computer screen.
Today it is proved that diseases, aging and many other discomfort conditions appear as a result of breaches of information transmission to organs and cellules.
"Wanderer" lets restore the process of information exchange in the organism.
Procedure of diagnostics on the virtual scanner always ends with a determination of patient treatment strategy.

The information correction works in this way:
1. The area (organ, system),where correction is necessary, and features,that are subject to correction are defined;
2. Compute the tactics (time, dose, session, fraction) of influences;
3. The signal of corresponding features forms;
4. Healing signals are given on the sensor patient's systems (vision) through the monitor .

One session of treatment takes from 10 to 50 minutes.
Course consists from 10 to 20 sessions.
The amount of courses is defined individually.

Treatment is released to each organ ( the whole 33 organs), or by following blocks:

Conclusion

The use of Strannik in educational establishments proved to be efficient.
The introduction of the system into medical and sanitary establishments improves the quality of medical aid at the expense of complex and system examination and treatment, decreases the time of the data processing and also gives an opportunity of screening examination, effective overall data analysis at the stages of diagnosis and treatment. Over 100 of psychosomatic nosologic units of diseases can be treated by the “Strannik” system.
Some articles mention good results of female disorders treatment. Some cases of getting over drug addition, healing some skin diseases (psoriasis, eczemas, neurodermite) have been recorded. These diseases are practically incurable by traditional means.
Lots of materials confirm that the information correction gives more efficient and quick result then traditional technologies. Their combination gives a special effect.
It’s worth mentioning that despite the cause of the information correction, all the patients noticed general improvement of health, sleep normalization, good appetite, improvement of mental and physical efficiency and absence of the “chronic tiredness” syndrome.
From the information stated above high efficiency and convenience of The “Strannik” system for a wide use in the public health service is evident.
Taking into consideration a minimum of expenses on the complex diagnosis (10-15 minutes), treatment and information correction (15-20 minutes for each session), and the main aim of the information correction - of normalization of the brain control and regulation functions - the “Strannik” system is expected to find wide-spread application in the spheres connected with hard work and advanced needs of regulation and coordination systems (army, police, sport, choreography, ballet and others).
